This month, the newly renovated spa at the five-star Vomo Island Resort, a private island retreat in the South Pacific, is enhancing its treatment menu with new therapies performed exclusively by highly-trained Thai therapists utilising the naturally-based Australian skin care line, Sodashi.
Catering to both men and women, the extensive range of Sodashi luxurious products – which are used in all new and existing facial and body therapies at Vomo Island Resort Spa – are formulated using a unique natural combination of biochemistry, aromatherapy and Ayurvedic principles.
Where the ethereal scenery of Fijian nature meets the highest level of indulgence, the new treatments at the Vomo Island Resort Spa create the ultimate relaxing and rejuvenating experience for its guests. Volcanic rocks were gathered from Vomo Island and the nearby deserted sister island, Vomo Lai Lai, to form a central wall within the spa interior, giving an organic feel and immediate sense of place. Tucked into the corner of a natural palm tree grove, the spa’s unique ritual experience begins with a refreshing ruby red hibiscus drink made from the extracts of the beautiful tropical flower, paired with a traditional Thai foot pampering.
Known as the Spa Angels by those in the know at Vomo, the team of talented and experienced Thai therapists apply a wide range of luxurious treatments including the signature hour-long Sodashi Calm Facial, utilising soothing methods to nourish over-stimulated skin. Cooling mists and aromatic gels nurture the skin, while Sodashi’s unique plant essence and herbal extracts strengthen capillaries and desensitise the skin. Another signature treatment is the Sodashi Detoxifying Marine Body Wrap that naturally combines the richness of sea plants, algae, marine minerals and plant essences for a deep body detox at all levels.
The spa is open daily from 9am to 7pm. Appointments outside of these hours can also be arranged upon request.
While the adults experience complete serenity and relaxation at the spa, the little ones can also enjoy treatment from the ‘KidZpa’ menu at the Kids Village, the resort’s comprehensive kid’s program center.
