Join thousands of locals and visitors for the Summerdaze Festival held in the Queenstown Lakes region this summer.
Summerdaze, celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2014, is a month-long fun-filled programme featuring over 40 events staged across the district. There are events for every age group – featuring music, sports, dance, arts, crafts, cinema and entertainment.
The signature events on the calendar are the New Year’s Eve celebrations in Queenstown and Wanaka. Staged on the lakefronts the evening provides a great line-up of live bands and a spectacular firework display to light up the night sky and bring in 2014 with a cheer.
For the sport enthusiasts there are mountain biking events, triathlons, running races and horse shows. Exciting events to spectate include the Rodeo, holiday galas, A&P show or wander around the many markets in the district and pick up a treat.
Catch a film under the stars as the moon sets on the Remarkables mountain range at the popular Outdoor Movie sessions. For the little ones we are hosting a PJ Party in the library. Bring along your duvet and teddy for some entertainment, hot choc and stories in the library after-hours.
The Queenstown Lakes region thrives on the vibrancy of summer and encourages everyone to get out and about for the Summerdaze Festival.
