ManaBus.com launches overnight Auckland to Wellington sleeper service
Wellington and Auckland are now just a good night’s sleep away with the launch of ManaBus.com’s premium overnight sleeper bus service, the only one of its kind in New Zealand.
Departing daily at 11pm, the new express service linking downtown Auckland and Wellington will operate using a new fleet of bespoke buses, each fitted with leather seats and full lie flat beds.
The new service starts on 14 December and offers an exciting and affordable new travel option every day. Tickets can be booked now at www.manabus.com with prices starting at $25.99.
ManaBus.com Chief Executive Officer Sheryll Otway says: “We know there are a lot of people who already travel on our existing overnight ManaBus.com and nakedbus.com services between Auckland and Wellington. Our new sleeper service takes the experience to the next level, offering customers a great value, comfortable journey that allows them to go to bed in one city and wake up in another feeling relaxed, refreshed and well rested.”
The new sleeper bus service will complement ManaBus.com’s existing evening Auckland to Wellington services which will continue to depart Auckland at 11pm and Wellington at 11pm.
“We are thrilled to bring this new and unique service to the market and to continue to provide innovative and affordable travel options to New Zealand. As always customers should book early online at www.manabus.com to secure their bed and grab a great value fare,” says Ms Otway.
Designed and built in Tauranga, the purpose-built sleeper buses feature 39 lie flat beds allowing travellers to stretch out overnight, as well as nine standard seats for those night owls who prefer to sit. At almost two metres long the beds make for a comfortable night’s sleep, and the buses also boast tables, at-seat charging points, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a toilet.
“We have designed the new ManaBus.com sleeper service based on feedback from our customers and our experience operating sleeper services internationally, to design and deliver the only sleeper bus service in New Zealand,” adds Ms Otway.
