Dive into the Great Barrier Reef Discovery Guide
Travel aficionados will love the Queensland Museum Network’s latest Wild Guide, The Great Barrier Reef: A Queensland Museum Discovery Guide, one of the most significant books about the Great Barrier Reef to be published in two decades.
Over 432 full-colour pages, readers can lose themselves in stunning, never before seen images of the reef alongside easy-to-read entries that cover both the natural and cultural history of the area.
Developed with generous support from BHP Billiton Cannington, The Great Barrier Reef Discovery Guide features never-before-seen imagery that takes readers on an amazing journey through one of the greatest natural wonders of the world.
Queensland Museum Network CEO Professor Suzanne Miller said the publication shares ground-breaking research conducted by Queensland Museum Network scientists.
“The Great Barrier Reef Discovery Guide showcases a myriad of stunning images from one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth across 440 full colour pages,” she said.
The publication is a tangible demonstration of the successful way public arts organisations can collaborate with industry to ensure positive, entrepreneurial outcomes for Queensland.
BHP Billiton Cannington Asset President Laura Tyler said the company was proud to partner with the Queensland Museum Network on such a worthwhile initiative.
“BHP Billiton Cannington and the Queensland Museum have worked together over a number of years to promote our state’s cultural and natural heritage,” Mrs Tyler said.
“This Guide will help provide people right across the globe, regardless of their location, with a greater understanding of the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef.”
“We are delighted to assist our scientists and researchers to tell this story.”
The Great Barrier Reef Discovery Guide is a must-have book for any travel enthusiast whether you have visited the Great Barrier Reef and seek a memento from the trip or have a visit to this natural wonder on your bucket list.
