The new five-star Salalah Rotana Resort in Oman has 400 rooms, and is spread over 15.6mn sq m, with an 8km beach front. The resort will serve the demand for high-quality accommodation in Salalah as tourism continues to grow in the city.
Samih Sawiris, chairman, Muriya and CEO of Orascom Development, said that Salalah Rotana Resort is not just a resort and they are planning to build a small town, replicating what they have done at El Gouna in Egypt.
The resort has four restaurants, including an all-day dining restaurant and a beach restaurant. The hotel has several meeting rooms, a business centre, a fitness centre and massage services. It also has a large outdoor pool, and a kids’ club. It also has the Zen spa – Rotana’s home-grown spa concept derived from ancient holistic Asian philosophies.
