91-year-old Texan becomes oldest zipper and takes to the trees with Queenstown’s Ziptrek Ecotours – An adventurous 91-year-old Texan man became the oldest ‘zipper’ in New Zealand on Sunday November 17 when he completed Ziptrek Ecotours’ Moa 4-Line tour in Queenstown.
The award-winning tourism company hosted Loren Selleck from Fort Worth in Texas who was accompanied by his 66-year-old daughter Karin Selleck, also from Texas.
The adventurous pair were among eight other ‘zippers’ to take part in the thrilling “multi-generational” tour yesterday which included children as young as eight – an age range of 83 years.
Mr Selleck is the oldest ‘zipper’ to complete the Ziptrek Ecotours course since the company’s inception four years ago.
Ziptrek Ecotours Sales and Marketing Manager Nicky Busst said the team was “thrilled” to see such a varied group enjoying the Ziptrek experience.
Completing the course “with absolute ease” Mr Selleck praised the Ziptrek staff for making the experience an enjoyable and memorable part of his New Zealand holiday.
